H. Jenny Lu, MD PhD
Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School
Dr. Lu is the founder of Innovare Medicine. She has distinguished herself in academic medicine as a clinician, educator, and physician-scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) for more than two decades.
She completed her internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center, followed by a nephrology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Lu was appointed to the full-time faculty at MGH and HMS and was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine in 2018.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lu has cared for thousands of patients across the full spectrum of internal medicine — from preventive care to complex cardiovascular and kidney disease. She also served as Medical Director of Renal Services at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and has provided longitudinal care for patients with advanced kidney disease and dialysis needs.
At Innovare Medicine, she brings this depth of experience into a highly personalized concierge model, offering direct physician access, strategic medical oversight, and long-term continuity of care.
Dr. Lu is also an internationally renowned medical researcher on kidney and cardiovascular diseases. Her work has been published extensively in leading scientific journals, and supported by competitive National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding, She has received distinguished research awards from national organizations, including the American Physiological Society and the NephCure Foundation. Her contributions have also been honored by Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital with multiple distinguished faculty awards.
