H. Jenny Lu, MD PhD
Dr. Lu is the founder of Innovare Medical. She has excelled in academic medicine as a full time clinical, teaching and research faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) for over two decades.
Dr. Lu completed her internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center and a nephrology fellowship at MGH and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following her fellowship training, she was appointed to a full-time faculty position at MGH and HMS. She was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine in 2018. During her two-decade-long tenure at MGH and HMS, Dr. Lu provided meticulous care to patients hospitalized at MGH. She also worked as an associate of the renowned physician leader Dr. Leslie Fang at the Dr. Fang and Associates clinic at MGH. She has delivered exceptional care to thousands of patients, particularly those with complex medical conditions such as renal failure and heart failure. Additionally, Dr. Lu cared for dialysis patients at The Kidney Center (TKC) in Boston and served as the Medical Director of Renal Services at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston for 15 years.
Dr. Lu has earned profound trust, respect, and loyalty from her patients through her unwavering dedication, compassionate care, exceptional knowledge, intelligence, and expertise. Her outstanding care is also highly regarded by her physician colleagues at MGH.
Besides clinical practice, Dr. Lu has directed multiple frontline research projects on kidney and cardiovascular diseases. Her research success is evidenced by numerous articles published in prestigious scientific journals and her outstanding record of research grant support, including the multi-million-dollar R01 grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and many grants and awards from the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Kidney Foundation (AKF), the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the American Society of Physiology (APS), and other private foundations. She was the sole national awardee of the NephCure Foundation Outstanding Research Grant in 2012 and the S&R Foundation Ryuji Ueno Award from the American Physiological Society in 2015. She also received multiple awards from MGH and Harvard Medical School, including the Claflin Distinguished Scholar Award and the Milton Award.
Dr. Lu’s unparalleled clinical and research experience enables her to:
